Bright Minds Think Differently

Does this sound familiar?

You have a young child who:

Learns faster than other kids their age but is easily frustrated and overwhelmed by their emotions

Is fiercely independent but struggles to listen or follow usual, everyday routines

Can be loving and affectionate but has frequent tantrums and meltdowns when things don’t go their way

You’re a hardworking adult who:

Knows you’re capable of more but struggling to stay focused and motivated at school or work

Thinks and analyzes things deeply and differently from other people, often feeling misunderstood or out of place, even around those closest to you

Sets high expectations for yourself but feeling burned out from juggling and trying to be perfect in all areas of your life

You’ve managed the challenges on your own, but sometimes you just need a map

YOU’VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Hi, I’m Dr. Amy Nasamran

As a psychologist I work with bright and busy minds that think, see, and feel things differently in our everyday world.

Having a brain that works and thinks in unique and complex ways can be both a gift and come with its own challenges, especially in the stress of today’s noisy, messy, fast-paced world. Although your challenges aren’t always visible on the outside, a mind that seems to always be “on” can be quick to burn out.

I provide neurodiversity-affirming therapy based in Lansing, MI online across the U.S. With training in both child and adult therapy, I work with children, their parents, and adults to guide and equip you with new tools — customized to your needs — to feel less stressed, find balance, and be your best authentic self.
