Book your first appointment

As a high-achiever, people see you as driven and successful

(or, let me guess, you just work really hard)

Lately, has it felt like your brain is going into overdrive, or leaving you on the verge of burnout?

It can be exhausting to hide behind a successful facade when deep down you are:

  • Struggling to keep up with all of the competing demands in your life

  • Overthinking and overanalyzing every decision, big or small

  • Avoiding or delaying seemingly small, straightforward tasks on your to-do list because they feel nearly impossible sometimes

  • Experiencing bouts of sadness or apathy

  • Replaying conversations in your head, wondering if you said or did something wrong

  • Feeling out of place at school or work, and sometimes even with your friends

  • Getting easily sidetracked or distracted, procrastinating and slacking at work — and sometimes even basic life chores

  • Checking and double-checking your work to make sure you don’t mess up or “look stupid” in front of others

  • Having trouble managing your overwhelming thoughts and emotions

  • Feeling tense, on edge, and losing sleep over certain situations

The pressure to be perfect makes it hard to shut off, but always having to be “on” has caused you to feel drained or irritable, disconnected from your friends and family, and doubtful about your path and the future.

In stress and anxiety therapy, we’ll work together to help you:

  • Understand what may be contributing to and maintaining the sources of stress in your life

  • Learn tools to manage and cope with high levels of stress and anxiety

  • Cope with or balance your workload or the pressure to constantly perform

  • Address feelings of self-doubt, inadequacy, or imposter syndrome

  • Identify, reevaluate, and boost motivation towards your important personal and professional goals and priorities

  • Learn how to set boundaries to protect your time and your needs

  • Build better habits and routines to reduce stress for the long run

  • Achieve the ever-elusive work-life balance

Frequently Asked Questions

  • A bulk of my training was in child therapy, but a big part (including my research) is focused on young adults, particularly in career psychology and the transition to work. I work with high-achieving adults like you because I experienced similar challenges in a demanding career field, while also trying to live a balanced life. As a recovering perfectionist, I know how exhausting it can be to constantly put 110% into everything you do but still feel like it’s not enough.

Being on the other side of therapy helped me learn firsthand how to handle stress, develop a better understanding of myself in and outside of my career, and grow as a human being. I bring a unique level of personal insight along with my professional training to therapy for stress and anxiety, helping overachievers find more balance and fulfillment in their lives.

  • Many of my clients in therapy for stress and anxiety are college students, graduate students, or professionals early or established in their careers. They are bright, earned pretty decent grades throughout school, were involved in clubs, sports, or the band, and would describe themselves to have “just worked really hard” towards their career goals. Somewhere along the way, the pressure to constantly achieve can start to take a toll, especially on those who “just work really hard” to achieve their goals.

I’ve had clients from a variety of fields, including teaching and education, healthcare, tech, law, and business.

  • If you've been considering or thinking about going to therapy, it may be a good time to give it a try. Therapy can be helpful for people who are faced with challenges that are starting to get in the way of their day-to-day or their quality of life. For example, if you find yourself getting stuck on certain problems, feeling overwhelmed or unable to do usual activities you enjoy because of stress or anxiety, or your life at school, work, or in your relationships is starting to be affected, professional support and therapy for stress and anxiety can help you learn tools and gain insight to address these challenges effectively.

  • I'm in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS, but not Blue Care Network) and Modern Health. My fee for the first intake appointment is $250, and ongoing individual weekly therapy sessions are $200. If you have another insurance provider and have out-of-network benefits, you may be eligible to receive partial or full coverage of the fee — I can give you a “superbill” to submit to your insurance to seek reimbursement.

  • I know that some days can feel like you barely have time to take a shower or eat without rushing or multi-tasking. One hour of therapy is just 4% of your day and 0.6% of your week. You might be surprised that the amount and quality of work you get done in an hour while working under stress and anxiety is probably a lot less than if you spent that time reflecting and refueling. I know life is busy, and with online therapy for stress and anxiety we can cut the commute out of the process. You can simply log on from the comfort and convenience of your own home (no judgment if you want to show up in comfies, sweats, or have a blanket).
